Context as Identity
Johnisms\
\The tangible scent of french polish, linseed oil and decades of accumulated sawdust - this is a true reflection of my uncle John. Not in his face or physical presence, but in the living archive of his workshop. This space, curated over forty years, is not merely where he works, but the manifestation of his values, routines and lived reality. This realisation became the foundation of my investigation: Context as identity.\
John loves to talk nonsense. He often incorporates made up words into his everyday conversations - these are known as 'Johnisms'.
Each box symbolises an aspect of John's life, captured by one of his Johnisms. Click on the red boxes to find out more.
